What is an approved premises?
Approved Premises (APs) are residential units approved under Section 13 of the Offender Management Act 2007. They provide temporary placements in the community for people leaving prison and on probation, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitative support.
Langley runs two Independent Approved Premises where residents, whilst closely supervised by the Probation Service, receive temporary yet stable accommodation and support to address their needs, find work and ultimately a permanent home in the community.
