Client Poetry Competition Winner

Published 30th August 2023

During our 65th Anniversary Sapphire Season of celebrations, we have been running various competitions for clients across our services. Read the winning poem in our poetry competition from one of our clients at The Knole:

I never thought my life could change,
My journey was hard and full of pain.
I didn’t see what others thought of me,
I only fell into my misery.
Aimless, hopeless like a wandering star,
Getting into trouble didn’t get me far.

Coming to Langley helped my transformation to start,
No longer the odd one out in the park.
I have purpose this is my home,
Over 21 years I roamed.
I put down roots and made a space,
I’m so glad I came to Langley
– what a place.
