Langley is committed to helping our clients flourish and achieve their life goals. For many people with convictions, such as our client group, this is hampered by poor educational attainment and perhaps a negative experience of learning even basic literacy and numeracy.
We have an exciting volunteer opportunity for a patient and positive educator to join us in the role of volunteer Literacy and Numeracy Mentor at our housing and resettlement services where we support clients with convictions, many of whom have multiple needs.
We are looking for individuals to work with clients to develop literacy and numeracy skills to meet self-identified targets which will help them to improve their self-esteem, fulfil their own potential and equip them for move-on and even into employment.
Become a Literacy and Numeracy Mentor
Do you have time to spend half a day a week or more to help our clients build the skills they need to make positive and lasting changes in their lives? Do you enjoy supporting others to achieve their own learning journey? And is this a client group you would have the skills and patience to work with? If so, then we would love to hear from you.
